Chelation Therapy

Chelation therapy (pronounced key-LAY-shun) is a process in which a synthetic or man-made amino acid called EDTA (ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid) is delivered intravenously.  EDTA binds with molecules, such as metals or minerals, and holds them tightly so that they can be removed from the body.  We offer IV Chelation therapy for numerous conditions, including removal of heavy metals and for treatment of heart disease.

Our medical director, Scott Rollins, MD, and our Chelation Coordinator, Amber Rainey, BSN, are both Certified in Chelation Therapy by the American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM).  This certification is widely regarded as the “gold standard” in assuring safe and effective chelation therapy.

We offer chelation services two days per week.  A one hour initial visit with our RN is required before starting chelation therapy.  Chelation visits are usually $125 per session and generally last about 3-4 hours.  Our center has a spacious and comfortable chelation area that is private from the rest of the center and is only shared with other chelating patients.

During chelation patients are generally resting in recliners although they are free to move around within the chelation area and of course use the restroom facilities.

We are in the process of installing a flat-screen television, with wireless headphones, so that our patients may relax and enjoy movies during chelation!  Yeah!
